| TRAINING PROGRAM ON RESEARCH METHODOLOGY, DATA ANALYSIS using SPSS & PROFESSIONAL WRITING

PREAMBLE
Edify International has been established with a mission to offer various services including government studies, academic excellence, institutional development, professional development, human resource systems support, and promotion of Nepalese indigenous properties globally. The institution has been envisioned and lead by a team of highly skilled proactive professionals.
Edify firmly understands the value of need-based training and development programs and emphasizes itself to continue this practice in its working philosophy. The initial exploration with early researchers, university fresh graduates, and various employers has shown high level of demand of a professional development program that improves one’s research, statistical, analytical, and professional writing competencies. Responding to this situation, Edify Center for Professional Development has recently designed and tested a seventy-hour training program on research methodology, data analysis and professional writing. Now the program is on offer.
The primary purpose of this training program is to establish depth understanding of the basic concepts of research methodology, promote its practical application for self-learning of the various techniques of advanced data analysis, and undertake organization-wide communication, leadership and evidence-based decision making by enhancing professional writing skills.

THE PARTICIPANTS
Primarily, this training program is designed to meet the professional research, data analysis and professional writing skills of the working people. In addition, the fresh graduates willing to pursue new professional careers and early researchers of different specializations also may benefit significantly from this training. The working professionals specializing in project design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation as well as Masters, MPhil, and PhD dissertation researchers will find the program useful.

PROGRAM DELIVERY
Edify International applies multi-modal approaches in each training program. Micro-presentations, case studies, simulation exercises, and project works are conducted frequently at individual and group level. Since this is a full time participatory program, it is mandatory for all participants to attend and participate in person in each training session.
The training sessions are organized in evening hours (6:00 – 8:00 PM) on weekdays and 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Saturdays at Edify Center for Professional Development located at Bluestar Office Complex, Thapathali, Kathmandu. The seventy-hour duration of the training program is scheduled to commence from 20 August 2009.
